Priest Lake skiing and snowshoeing
Offering nearly 50 kilometers of groomed trails out of the Indian Creek state park, Priest Lake provides the perfect setting for an excellent Nordic skiing experience. But both the east and west sides of this spectacular lake offer especially fine cross-country skiing – with an assist from the snow gods. Priest Lake, although relatively low in elevation, enjoys a micro climate that typically provides three feet or more of snowpack for skiers. The kick-and-glide here can be supreme. For snowshoers, backcountry awaits in every direction.
Add to that several year-round resorts that provide fine lodging, dining and amenities such as hot tubs, and Priest Lake makes a prime winter destination for cross-country skiers and snowshoers.
