McEuen Park in Coeur d’Alene
Always a splendid place, a $20 million facelift of McEuen Park in downtown Coeur d’Alene alongside the lake has vaulted this 22.5 gem into the big leagues. The park boasts the city’s largest playground, a colorful splash pad, tennis/pickle ball court, basketball court, off-leash dog park, covered pavilion to host events for up to 200 people, a waterfront concession stand/restroom facility, sea wall overlook, grand plaza, veterans memorial, and four acres of open grassy lawn.
There is a two-thirds mile trail around the park, a dog park, osprey nests and some fine public art pieces.
