Ice Skating in Bonners Ferry
Each winter, North Idaho typically gets nice stretches of cold temperatures that turn its many ponds and lake bays into ice skating rinks. Skaters must exercise caution over those open waters, but in Bonners Ferry the town puts on family-safe ice skating at its downtown fairgrounds. Weather permitting, the city’s parks and recreation department floods a covered cement slab that keeps off snow while creating a fine skating rink for skaters of all ages.
There’s also night skating on weekends. It’s free, and fun! If the weather is cold, call the Boundary County Parks & Rec to see if skating is happening, at 208-304-3603.
