“Committed to preserve our historic past, committed to pursue our growth in the future.”
The Historic Wallace Preservation Society was founded by Miss Nancy Lee Hanson in the late 1960’s. It houses a vast collection of historical photographs, written and oral information covering over 125 years. It supports multiple community organizations and historical groups in the Silver Valley. It plays host to “The Art of Fun Series” and are home to Ms. May Hutton, the “Historic Wallace Hostess” who arrived in the Silver Valley in 1883. The story tells of an amazing woman’s journey in the early years of our mining history.
