Ski and Snowshoe Farragut State Park
Cross country skiing, snowshoeing and sledding are all major activities at Farragut State Park once the snow falls. Located adjacent to Bayview at the very southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille, this very scenic park offers miles of groomed and ungroomed trails on most flat terrain that make it an excellent destination for beginner and intermediate skiers. With sledding and snowshoeing areas, it is an excellent family destination too.
The trail system leaves from the park’s Visitor Center and skiers can choose from return routes with distances of 1.5, 3.5, 5.5, 7.5 or 10 kilometers. The trail system provides outstanding views of the park and the mountains surrounding Lake Pend Oreille. Snow conditions vary due to the low elevation of the park, call 208-683-2425 for current conditions. Rest rooms and a plowed parking area are provided.
