Snowmobiling the St. Joe
With an extensive trail system based out of the small town of Avery, the St. Joe provides snowcatters with plenty of excitement. Four trailheads begin at Avery and lead to over 200 miles of groomed trails to the south and 50 miles to the north. The north trail system ties into the Wallace, Idaho and St. Regis, Montana groomed trail systems – offering more than 1000 miles of trails along forest roads and through the backcountry.
St. Joe Snow Riders is a club for snowmobile enthusiasts based in St. Maries. The club organizes snowmobile rides in the beautiful St. Joe River country and provides friendly information for snowmobilers.
