Lake Pend Oreille

Measuring 43 miles in length and 1,158 feet in depth, Lake Pend Oreille is not only Idaho’s deepest lake but also one of the deepest in the country. Nestled within the Rocky Mountains, this lake entices visitors with its breathtaking scenery and generally calm waters.

While ideal for paddle boarding under most conditions, the water can become choppy and challenging on windy days, requiring additional skill and experience to navigate safely.
